Welcoming Week is here, and already we’ve seen some amazing events across the state in celebration of this year’s theme, “Creating Home Together.” It has been truly inspiring to watch neighbors gathering together within virtual and digital spaces, to get to know each other, learn something new about a culture that’s different from their own, and celebrate the values that unite us as a community.

Some Highlights From The Week So Far
Mary J. Treglia Community House gave members of the Siouxland community an opportunity to try foods from around the world with their drive-by event, “A Taste of Siouxland’s Culture!” (pictured above)
El Centro de las Américas in Lincoln hosted a virtual Latino Benefit Festival with musical performances, interviews, and information on organizations and services available around the city. Watch a recording of the livestream here!
